Foxwall offers regular courses, open to the public.  Upcoming classes are listed on our event calendar.  

**Groups may contact Foxwall to arrange CPR and/or First Aid classes at times not listed on the calendar.  These classes can be taught at Foxwall or off site at businesses, churches, synagogues, schools, etc.   Groups hosting a CPR class must be able to provide adequate class space, along with a DVD player, tv or projection screen with projector, parking, and bathrooms.   To request special group classes, email This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Classes

Heartsaver CPR is a 4 hour course, providing instruction in CPR for adults, infants and children, use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED), and first aid for choking.   This course is appropriate for the any person interested in learning about basic life saving techniques. 

BLS for Healthcare Providers is a 4 hour course for Healthcare professionals (EMTs, doctors, nurses, dentists, etc.). Topics include CPR (1 and 2-rescuer), foreign body airway obstruction, and use of an AED. 

Heartsaver First Aid is a 4 hour course teaching basic first aid. Topics include common medical emergencies (heart attack, stroke, diabetic emergencies, and more), and injuries (sprains and strains, burns, cuts, and more).

These courses are taught according to the guidelines set forth by the American Heart Association.

ALERTS:
*If you are required to have CPR/AED training, please make sure you know which certification is required by your work or school.  Most life guards, camp counselors, personal trainers need the Heartsaver CPR course only.   If you are training to work in a health care environment, you need BLS for Healthcare Providers.

**PLEASE NOTE: ISSUANCE OF CARDS TAKES UP TO 6 WEEKS FROM DATE OF CLASS.  So, if you need a card by a specific deadline, plan ahead.  We cannot expidite card issuance.

NOTE: Registration must be received no later than 1 week prior to class date.

Fees

Cost is $30 per person, per class for courses taught at Foxwall EMS. Special arrangements can be made to teach groups off-site, at a fee of $40 per person per class.  

NOTE: Payment must be received no later than 1 week prior to the start of the class.

Cancellation Policy

Foxwall requires a minimum of 4 students for each CPR class.  If the required number of students have not registered and paid by the above deadlines, Foxwall reserves the right to cancel the class.  Registered students will be notified of the cancellation and may either register for a different class or receive a full refund.

Should a student not show up for a class for which he/she is registered, the class payment is non-refundable.
