Apart from day to day emergency services, Foxwall supports the community through a variety of outreach programs, including:

Special Events
Some special events in which Foxwall has participated in the past include:
Health and Safety Fun Fair
An annual event hosted by Foxwall for community outreach and education. Past events have included fingerprinting, blood pressure screenings, demonstrations by firefighter and police units, music, and games.

Mock MVA
Every few years, Foxwall and other local EMS and Fire agencies stage a mock motor vehicle accident at Fox Chapel High School before prom to discourage drinking and driving.

Car Seat Safety
Foxwall periodically hosts Car Seat Safety checks at the base.

Parades

Sports Coverage
Foxwall provides emergency coverage at various Fox Chapel High School and Shadyside Academy sporting events throughout the year, particularly football games.

Community CPR and First Aid
Foxwall periodically gives CPR and First Aid training to local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, churches, synagogues, and businesses.

Concerts and Festivals
Foxwall traditionally provides emergency coverage at the concerts and festivals, such as the Beechwood Farms Apple Jamm and the Bradley Fest held at Hartwood Acres.
Pittsburgh Marathon
Every year Foxwall assists the City of Pittsburgh EMS in providing coverage for the Pittsburgh Marathon.
Curtis Cup Golf Tournament
Aug 3-4, 2002
The 32nd Curtis Cup, a golf matchup between the United States team and the Great Britain and Ireland team, was held at Fox Chapel Golf Club on August 3-4, 2002. Medical coverage for the event was provided by a team of doctors, nurses, and emergency personnel. Volunteers from Foxwall comprised a majority of the team. Emergency equipment included Foxwall ambulances, the UPMC Health Van, a medical tent for walk-ins, and several specially-outfitted golf carts to follow play.
US Amateur Golf Tournament
August 18-24, 2003
Foxwall volunteers participated on the medical team at the 103rd US Amateur golf tournament, held at the Fox Chapel Field Club and Oakmont Country Club.
